The Senegalese National Assembly voted in emergency procedure on the new law on terrorism. According to the Keeper of the Seals and Minister of Justice, Malick Sall, this new regulation confirms the need for Senegal to comply with the provisions of ratified international conventions such as the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

This list, formerly known as the gray list, reflects the situation of countries whose system has significant deficiencies but which have made the political commitment to remedy them within the deadlines,” said Ramatoulaye Gadio Agne. According to him, "Senegal has made a commitment to satisfactorily implement the Action Plan consisting of 29 measures, between February 2021 and September 2022". Strengthening legislation on financial flows is one of the recommendations made in Senegal, but it is not the only one.
