The Minister in charge of State Control, Jean-Rosaire Ibara announced this Tuesday, June 29, 2021, the main lines of action to fight against corruption for the five-year term.

During a meeting with the agents and executives of his administration in Brazzaville, the Minister in charge of State control, Jean-Rosaire Ibara indicated that fighting against anti-values, including tax evasion, misappropriation and corruption, are, among other things, the main lines of action of the government. For him, the first priority axis of his ministry will consist in the creation of platforms for dialogue and reflection intended to improve the business climate and the index of perception of corruption in Congo. These platforms, he said, will bring together economic operators, social partners, national and international institutional bodies, in order to improve good practices in public management.

The second axis will consist in implementing actions aimed at aligning the governance of the country with international instruments, in particular conventions, charters and agreements formally signed by Congo. “The third axis of our action consists of the promotion and popularization of good practices in the management of public administrations and services, while the fourth aims to create educational instruments and coercive mechanisms. The goal is to fight against bad governance,” he said. Thus, a national strategy will be developed to fight against deviant behavior through the "zero tolerance" policy advocated by President Denis Sassou N'Guesso.
