Around 09:40 GMT (11:40 a.m. in Paris), the euro gained 0.04% to 1.1940 dollars for one euro. The greenback benefited in mid-June from signals from the Fed that went in this direction, after the meeting of its monetary committee, where its members mentioned an interest rate hike a little earlier than expected, in 2023. But Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, on the contrary, maintained his cautious tone, preferring to support the US economy and believing that rising inflation would only be temporary. In addition, the euro is now bought at Rs 51.47 (Mauritian rupee), the US dollar at Rs 42.95. The British Pound is now trading at Rs 60.40. On the cryptocurrency side, bitcoin gained 7.4% to $34,600.
