The African Development Bank (ADB) has just granted Cameroon CFAF 106 billion in financing for the third phase of the transport sector support program: development of National Road No. 11, the Ring Road. The loan agreement was signed last Friday in Yaoundé

The Ring Road is a line of approximately 365 km and allows the interconnection of five departments in the North-West while forming a loop from Bamenda to Bamenda via Bambui, Ndop, Babessi, Kumbo, Nkambe, Misaje, Nyos, Wum and Bafut with a connection to the Nigerian border from the locality by Misaje. With funding provided by the ADB, there will be a question of rehabilitating and developing 280 km of the Bambui-Ndop-Babessi section, including the Babungo-Dawara, Kumbonkambe-Misaje ramp as well as the Nkambe City Bypass, Misaje-Dumbo, Nigerian border, Wum-Bafut-Bamenda. Related developments, including the rehabilitation of certain schools, the construction of stores for storing agricultural products, and the construction of multifunctional centers for young people and girls to strengthen their capacity for empowerment are also planned.
