The Center for Studies and Research on Financial Delinquency and Organized Crime (CERCOFI) is doing its part in the fight against corruption and financial crime, by initiating a day of studies on apparent crime. The first edition was held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, in Ouagadougou

The study day on apparent crime was a framework for CERCOFI to consult on measures against corruption and financial crime through reflections on all aspects of financial governance. In accordance with article 40 of Act No. 004-2015/CNT on the prevention and repression of corruption, the participation of civil society in this fight was strongly encouraged. This day, in addition to debates between participants, was structured on two panels focused on the theme “the apparent crime: challenges and issues of repression in Burkina Faso”. It was a framework for actors gathered to discuss several topics, including the difficulties related to the examination of files, the difficulty of assessing assets, the status of files in relation to the crime of appearance, etc
