The Ministry of Urban Planning, Housing and Land Reform has launched a call for expressions of interest for consulting services to diagnose each municipality. This is part of the implementation of the urban development project under preparation for 6 municipalities.

Six municipalities in Togo, namely Zio 1 in the maritime region, Ogou 1 and Kloto 1 in the Plateaux, Tône 1 in the Savanes, Kozah 1 in the Kara and Tchaoudjo 1 in the Centrale, will have a master plan for development and urbanization. This ambition, carried out by the government, will be financed by part of the financing funds of the Infrastructure and Urban Development Project (PIDU), estimated at $30 million or 16 billion FCFA

These municipalities will have a document regulating and managing urban space organizing traffic and transport. This document will also allow municipalities to establish a 20-year time horizon to carry out major strategic projects in accordance with the dynamics of metropolization currently underway in the country. As a reminder, the objective of the PIDU is to improve access to urban infrastructure and basic services in cities and to strengthen their institutional capacity in urban planning and management
