The new chairman of the Uemoa commission Abdoulaye Diop is making his first visit to Niger. Following his meeting with the Head of State, the senior official said he had come to Niger to thank President Bazoum for supporting his appointment. A support that was recorded by the conference of heads of state of the Union.

Promoted to the head of the Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) on April 14, the Senegalese Abdoulaye Diop is visiting Niger. During this visit, the new Chairman of the UEMOA Commission was received by Prime Minister Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou on Monday June 14, and later by the President of the Republic Bazoum Mohamed.

“It is also an opportunity for me to come and collect the orientations of the Head of State in relation to the work that we are called upon to do and develop at the Commission”, he underlined. The institution has made significant progress, according to the new president of the community institution, who intends to continue the work of his predecessor.
