In corporate news, in France, the reinsurer Scor and its first shareholder Covéa have found common ground to put an end to the conflict that has opposed them since the attempt takeover launched by Covéa in 2018. The two groups announced on Thursday evening that they had signed a memorandum of understanding putting an end to all ongoing legal proceedings and giving Scor an option to buy back the shares held by Covéa at a price of 28 euros per unit. EssilorLuxottica announced on the same day that it had obtained all regulatory approvals to acquire the Dutch optical distributor GrandVision, after the green light granted subject to conditions by the Turkish Competition Authority
.Euronext, for its part, announced on Thursday the entry of the car rental company Europcar Mobility into the SBF 120 index, replacing Société Générale's subsidiary ALD, which specializes in long-term vehicle financing. The announcement of the lifting of sanctions imposed by the United States on some representatives of the Iranian oil sector is weighing on prices, as it suggests that negotiations on a nuclear agreement with Iran could soon be completed, reports ANZ. The market seems “convinced” that Brent and New York-listed soft light crude (WTI) “deserve to trade above $70 given the current demand trajectory, and maintaining these levels shows that patience is prevailing,” says Louise Dickson, oil market analyst at Rystad Energy, despite the sharper than expected rise in U.S. gas inventories last
