The founder of ciberobs, the first African cybersecurity observatory, Franck Kié gave an interview to Financial Afrik on cybersecurity issues in preparation for the international forum on cybersecurity in Africa “Cyber Africa Forum”, which started on June 07, 2021 in Côte d'Ivoire. According to him, in Africa, the financial statements of cyber attacks are estimated at 4 billion dollars in 2020. Cybersecurity is for Franck Kié an issue of great importance for the development of African economies. Because cyber attacks would swallow up billions of dollars every year. In 2020, this financial loss is estimated at 4 billion dollars according to the Cybersecurity Consultant.

A graduate of the School of Economic Warfare and the Universities of New York and Warwick, Franck Kié worked as a Financial Services Consultant at Deloitte (Abdjan and Johannesburg). He is also the Laureate of the Africa35.35 Prize, which rewards the 35 most influential Africans under the age of 35 in 2020. He also chaired the Abidjan hub of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.
