African Media Agency (AMA), has obtained a Certificate of Excellence in the Press Relations category. It was during the 4th edition of the African SABRE Awards, which took place on May 27, in Côte d'Ivoire. In April 2020, when Africa was hit by the coronavirus pandemic, the African Development Bank released a $10 billion response facility to contain COVID-19 and help regional member countries fight the pandemic. AMA was rewarded by the jury for its work with the African Development Bank (AfDB), which has highlighted their response to the COVID-19 health crisis to the tune of $10 billion from the Bank, thanks to an article published on CNN and the Washington

Indeed, the Bank has tasked AMA with promoting the response facility by disseminating it to the largest media. AMA achieved this by developing a press relations campaign focused on a digital press conference with journalists from Africa and elsewhere, placing opinion pieces that resonate with the editorial line of the main media, and disseminating press releases
