Côte d'Ivoire is hosting the 21st Session of the Joint General Assembly (end of mandate and elective) of the UEMOA Regional Consular Chamber (CCR-UEMOA), this Monday, May 31, at Radisson Blu. The Minister of Economy and Finance, Adama Coulibaly, welcomed the results achieved by the institution under the mandate of Abdoulaye Sory, President of CCR-UEMOA

“By placing your mandate under the banner of innovation and modernization, you have simply laid the foundations for the transformation of this Institution in order to adapt it and enable it to respond effectively to the challenges that are yours” congratulated the Minister before welcoming the work done to support businesses in the union in the fight against the health crisis.

For the new management team, the Minister emphasized the need to work to strengthen the governance of the institution and especially to continue measures to reduce its lifestyle in order to strengthen its operational capacities to meet the challenges of the 2030 vision.

The private sector was reassured of the unwavering support of all the governments of the states in the community area and especially the Ivorian government, whose PND 2021-2025 will be financed up to 74% by the private sector.

The balance sheet of the CCR-UEMOA, despite the Covid-19 pandemic, has resulted in an amplifying growth dynamic, including the strengthening of governance, the adoption of a 2020-2030 strategic plan, the improvement of the financial situation of the Institution as well as the strengthening of the level of the grant, which increased from 1,500,000 FCFA to 5 million FCFA.
