On a working tour, the Vice-President of the World Bank for West and Central Africa, Ousmane Diagana was received in audience on Friday May 28, 2021 in Ouagadougou by the President of Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kaboré.

Mauritanian Ousmane Diagana met with the President of Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kaboré to seek advice from the Head of State on how the World Bank can be more present and more useful in Burkina Faso. "He explained to us his desire to pursue his development program for his country which has made significant progress in the fields of agriculture, the strengthening of human capital and this, in a difficult context", indicated Mr. Diagana.
According to him, the President of Faso wants more speed in the execution of projects and programs conducted with the World Bank. Because, according to the Head of State, they participate in the creation of jobs for young people, the strengthening of human capital and the development of promising sectors. It should be noted that Ousmane Diagana coordinates the World Bank's relations with 22 countries and manages a portfolio of projects, technical assistance and financial resources of more than 38 billion dollars.
