The Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM) maintained strong stock market transactions at the end of the week. It recorded transactions worth 2.246 billion FCFA compared to 2.405 billion FCFA

the previous day.

The trend of strong transactions at the BRVM, which began on 20 May 2021, continued at the end of the trading day on Friday, May 21, 2021. The total value of transactions was thus 2.246 billion FCFA compared to 2.405 billion FCFA the previous day. This increase in transactions is caused by transactions on the bond market. In this segment, the value traded was 1.789 billion FCFA (compared to 1.969 billion FCFA the day before), while the value traded on shares was 456.564 million FCFA (against 436.820 million the day before).
On the index side, the upturn continues. The BRVM 10 index (the index of the 10 leading stocks on the Stock Exchange) gained another 1.69% to 131.27 points against 129.09 points the day before. The BRVM Composite Index (the general stock exchange index), for its part, gained 0.91% to 153.70 points against 152.31 points previously

The market capitalization of the stock market increased by 41.9 billion FCFA to 4625.521 billion FCFA compared to 4583.621 billion FCFA the previous day. The bond market rose to 6564.420 billion FCFA compared to 6583.676 billion FCFA the day before, a decrease of 19.256 billion FCFA

The TOP 5 of the largest price increases are occupied respectively by the following values: SITAB (plus 7.38% to 2,620 FCFA), Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire (plus 7.35% to 2,555 FCFA), Air Liquide Côte d'Ivoire (plus 7.35% to 365 FCFA), Palm Côte d'Ivoire (plus 6.10% to 4,350 FCFA) and BICICI (plus 4.44% to 5,640 FCFA) .The Flop 5 The following values account for the largest price declines: Oragroup Togo (minus 6.67% to 3,710 FCFA), Servair Abidjan (minus 3, 83% to 1,005 FCFA), NEI CEDA Côte d'Ivoire (minus 3.33% to 290 FCFA), BOA Mali (minus 3.08% to 1,260 FCFA) and Coris Bank International (minus 2.50% to 7,800 FCFA)
