The West African Development Bank (BOAD) grants loan agreements to the Republic of Senegal. This funding takes into account the 2017-2019 periodic maintenance program for paved roads in Senegal and the project to rehabilitate and extend village irrigated areas in the Donaye-Diattar, Guede, MBoyo and Podor areas

.

Two vital projects for Senegal's economy have just received funding from BOAD. For a total amount of 48.5 billion FCFA, the loan agreements were signed on Friday, January 26, 2018, at the Bank's headquarters in Lomé. The 2017-2019 periodic maintenance program for paved roads in Senegal, financed in the amount of 30 billion FCFA, covers two components, namely: the periodic maintenance of approximately 772 km of the paved road network and the expansion and reinforcement of the Kaffrine-Mbacké and Fatick-Foundiougne-Passy paved roads over a length of

167 km.

The second project for the rehabilitation and extension of village irrigated areas, called PREPIV Podor, which benefits from an amount of 18.5 billion FCFA, aims to increase the supply of cereal and horticultural products in the department of Podor, in particular through an additional production of 30,000 tons of paddy rice, 2,000 tons of maize and 13,000 tons of vegetable products. He also wants to create sustainable agricultural jobs in this department, improve farmers' incomes and the living conditions of the most vulnerable groups.
