While the pound is sinking, the dollar is showing a slight strengthening against the euro. However, the Dollar could have benefited from very robust US figures.

The FOREX did not seem surprised by the -robust- US figures and the Dollar progressed only moderately against the Euro: +0.25% towards 1.200, +0.2% against the Swiss Franc at 0, 9185 and almost stable against the Yen (+0.1%) at 108.1. It is the Pound that recorded the strongest decline with -0.7% against the $ (at 1.3885) and -0.5% against the Euro at 0.8678.
The remuneration of US T-Bonds is not taken into account with a symbolic difference of 0.5Pt basis at 1.8500% against Bunds or almost stable OATs... except against the Pound with Gilts which wipe out -3 basis points towards 0.7350%.
The Leading Indicator Index (LEI) in the United States rose 1.3% in March in February and rose 0.5% in January, according to the Conference Board.
