achievement rate of 93.6%, government spokesman Sidi Touré said on Wednesday.
"At the end of June 2019, the execution of the budget shows 3132.2 billion CFA francs mobilized as resources
for a forecast of 3,345.9 billion CFA francs, i.e. an achievement rate of 93.6%, "said Mr. Touré after
a Council of Ministers in Yamoussoukro.
The spokesperson for the Ivorian government pointed out that this result "is essentially explained by a
lower than expected level of mobilization on the money and financial markets”.
These achievements, he said, are "made up of 1809 billion CFA francs of tax revenue, 68.4 billion CFA francs of
non-tax revenue, 657.9 billion CFA francs from borrowings on the money and financial markets, 531.2
billion FCFA of external resources and 65.7 billion FCFA of cash resources”.
The expenditure executed at the end of June 2019, meanwhile, amounted overall to "3,211.4 billion CFA francs for
a forecast of 3153.3 billion CFA francs, i.e. an execution rate of 101.8%", added the spokesman of the
Ivorian government.
For the Ivorian State, the execution of the budget at the end of the first semester shows a level of
mobilization of tax revenue “in line with the objectives, control of operating expenses
forecasts and a satisfactory level of execution".
