Provisional port data released on Tuesday indicates that the country is registering a 17% drop in its cocoa bean exports. Shipments of semi-processed cocoa products increased by 23% to reach 156,496t. This is mainly powder and butter, the international sales of which reached 4,5646 t against 2,549 t in January 2020.
Coffee exports in January fell by 38% to 1,265 t.
On the other hand, cotton exports from Ivory Coast jumped 65% in January to 35,982 tonnes (t). As for natural rubber, exports fell by 18% in January compared to January 2020, to 87,919 t.
