The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Vassogbo Bamba informs that Côte d'Ivoire raised more than 1,000 billion CFA francs in 2020 via the Regional Stock Exchange (Brvm).

During the official launch of the Sika Invest challenge, a competition dedicated to stock market investment for students in Côte d'Ivoire, Vassogbo Bamba indicated that to maintain the competitiveness of its economy, "in 2020, it's more of 1000 billion CFA francs which were raised by the Ivorian State via the Brvm on maturities of 7 and 10 years "
Sika Investment Challenge, a portfolio management competition dedicated to students in the Economics/Finance sectors of higher education establishments in Côte d'Ivoire, is part of this vision of the Ivorian State. “We have in this batch the public universities or the National Polytechnic Institute of Yamoussoukro, but also establishments like ENSEA or the International University of Grand-Bassam among others”, declared the promoter, the Ivorian Daniel Aggré, Managing Director of Sika Finance.
An evaluation will make it possible to select the three best students who will receive level 2 and 3 training in order to give them tools for analysis and management of a portfolio. "We will then provide them with a virtual online trading platform that will allow them to carry out transactions on securities listed on the Brvm in real conditions," added Daniel Aggré.
