The Agricultural Bank (LBA) was taken to court last week over a dispute over a money transfer platform. The company Gie Ciadelta, which specializes in business support activities, accuses LBA of having stolen a project to develop a money transfer platform

.

The former National Agricultural Credit Fund of Senegal (CNCAS), which became the Agricultural Bank, is in this bedsheet room. He is accused of having hijacked a project to develop a money transfer platform when the project was submitted to him in order to obtain his support.
The plaintiffs, namely Abdoulaye Diagne, manager of Gie Ciadelta, and his collaborators provide agricultural incubation and support to agricultural producers in the Senegal River Valley.
Addressing the press, the manager of Ciadelta, Abdoulaye Diagne, explained that the dispute between him and LBA dates back to 2017, when his Gie accompanied 260 women's groups in 7 localities as part of the resilience building project funded by Osiwa, in order to facilitate their access to land, energy and information on climate change.
According to her, Gie Ciadelta has set up a money transfer structure called Agricash with the aim of financing women with the income generated by this new money transfer system. Agricash approached LBA in the same way as other financial institutions with a view to obtaining approval before deploying the platform, to comply with BCEAO instruction No. 013-11-2015 of 10 November 2015 governing the terms and conditions for carrying out rapid money transfer activities in Uemoa.
The promoter Abdoulaye Diagne confides that while waiting for LBA's response, he was surprised to see that the latter deployed the Agricash project with the same name and with many of the ideas that they had developed there, on February 12, 2020 on

its own behalf.
