According to the Department of Forecasting and Economic Studies, Senegal found itself, at the end of November 2020, with a trade deficit down by 53.1 billion FCFA. A fall explained by an increase in exports of goods (+25.5 billion) less significant than that of imports (+89.3 billion).
Exports of goods were valued at 163.6 billion FCFA during the period under review against 138.1 billion FCFA in October 2020, an increase of 18.5%.
This situation mainly reflects the strengthening of the value of exports of food products (+22.0 billion), unwrought gold (+6.9 billion), mineral and chemical fertilizers (+4.1 billion) and of zircon (+2.1 billion).
