A customs statement made public on Wednesday, May 07, 2025 announces that the Pikine Customs Mobile Brigade has confiscated black notes with a total value of 7 billion 851 million CFA francs.

Actions to combat currency counterfeiting have been initiated by Senegalese customs in the areas of Dakar and Thiès. The largest seizure of black notes was recorded on the night of 01 to 02 May 2025, according to information.
